Laughing Leo meme generator

How this meme works

A man in period clothing holds a drink and laughs with a pained, incredulous grin, as if mocking something absurd. The joke comes from pairing his smug amusement with a ridiculous claim, bad idea, or naive expectation.

When to use it

Use it when someone says something naive, overly optimistic, or hilariously unrealistic and you want to mock it or react with disbelief.

Where this meme comes from

This is Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (2012), laughing with a drink in hand. The still became a widespread reaction image for mocking something absurd.
